Very Best
THE VERY BEST embodies a without-borders approach to music-making that could only take place in the 21st century. On their debut album, WARM HEART OF AFRICA, the group, started by European production duo Radioclit and Malawian singer Esau Mwamwaya, concoct new international pop that lands someplace amongst a Michael Jackson break-beat and a dancier version of Paul Simon’s Graceland. THE VERY BEST are Esau Mwamwaya (Malawi), Etienne Tron (France) and Johan Karlberg (Sweden). Also featured on the album is singer M.I.A. and Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig.
Looking to get rid of that “spare tire” and even beef up the rotary strength of your core in the process? If so, keep reading because I’m going to profile a couple of the best oblique exercises you may perchance do. So without boring you with a long, dragged out original paragraph explaining all the details when it comes to the obliques – what they are and how they function – I’ll just get right into it.
The most functional – and accordingly most effective – oblique exercises are the ones that improve your rotary strength. This is of course accomplished by twisting your torso versus an external resistance. With a quick analysis of this twisting movement, it is importance becomes obvious.
Whether we’re playing sports or just going through our day to day routines, we’re constantly twisting and turning so it comes to reason that the more inviolable our obliques are, the posing no difficulty these movements will be. So in my professional opinion, here are some of the best oblique exercises available.
Best Oblique Exercises
Seated Medicine Ball Twist: This is an awful exercise and all you need to carry out it is a medicine ball. Actually, I commend that you invest in a couple medicine balls just to keep around the house because they’re just so versatile.
The starting position for this exercise has you sitting down with your legs bent to in regards to a 45 degree angle with your heels in contact with the ground. You then lean back more or less until you feel a contraction within your abdominals, elevate the medicine ball over your chest with your arms extended and from here, you just move your arms in a semi circle – from side to side. You’ll feel this one right away, trust me!
Olympic Bar Rotations: You don’t see a lot of persons doing this one plainly because well, they don’t recognise when it comes to it. This is somewhat of a “hidden secret” if you will. It’s astounding for both athletics and vanity. In other words, it’ll make you stronger, more powerful and of course, it’ll make you look better as well.
To carry out the exercise, you stick an Olympic barbell in the corner amid two walls. Throw a heap of weights onto the end nearest you, pick up one end of the barbell and hold it up with your arms extended in front of you and your feet shoulder width apart.
From here, you’re just going to rotate the barbell from side to side in a semi-circle with your arms extended. Don’t forget to breathe as you’re doing it through since a lot of my clients tend to hold their breath for galore reason.

Supreme! By A. Living Creature This is an astounding album. I’ve been listening to this and the band’s antecedently freed free mixtape almost without disturbance for the past week. Esau, the singer from Malawi who is the center of the show here, has one of the most finelooking and warm voices I’ve ever heard. Infectiously happy, irresistible dance grooves, expansive and inspiring music. I played one track for my brother the other day, after he was skeptical of my superlative praise, and he just melted in the headphones. “The Very Best” is a veritably suitable name in this case, because they in truth live up to it.
Most of the songs are in Esau’s native language, and I don’t comprehend a word, but it doesn’t matter at all, the sentiment that comes all over is everything. [Update: I just took a moment to read the digital liner notes with lyrics for each song translated into English, and my appreciation of this album has grown tremendously. It has become clear to me just how enthusiasti and courageous these songs are in their meaning. It is clear that they come from the deepest place in the humane heart.] Definitely the best music I’ve heard all year. Don’t hesitate. The album is worth each cent. Actually, I’ll now say that I would’ve happily payed double the buy price for this. It’s one of those things… I think it’s been regarding five years since an album of music this freshening entered my life. Support these guys! I’ll be praying they’re around to keep making music this good and better for a good long while.
Highest recommendation!

The Very Best…indeed By S. Bidwell After falling in love with their mixtape last year, I’m pleased to announce The Very Best’s proper debut album is worth each penny. As the title suggests, the album comes off as very friendly and light-hearted. Now, you ought to comprehend that this is all a leap of faith for me since a good majority of the lyrics are in a language that I don’t understand. I’m making my assessment – for better or worse – based on the music.
There are two guest appearances on the album. The introductory is Vampire Weekend’s lead singer, and the second is M.I.A. Both are very good. However I’m the real gems on this album are Nsokoto and Julia. Nsokoto in truth took a few listens to sink in, and it’s specifically these songs which stay with me the longest. There’s a lot bubbling under the surface of it. Julia is just plain fun — it’ll be stuck in your head for days.
In all, this album is very, very accessible. It might work best blasting in your car as you speed down the highway, but it’s also something you may listen to through your headphones and relax in your reclining chair.
Also, I will have to add that I don’t write some reviews for Amazon, but I’d like to do more in the future. I’m purposefully not saying too much with regards to the music because I feel that these things are so subjective. However, if any person wants to talk about peculiar songs in depth, please engage me in the remarks section.

Nutritious! By Ann Z. This is one of those albums I play over and over and never tire of. I oftentimes pick up the booklet and am learning to sing along because the words and music are such a great fit ; it’s like a dance for your mouth. With soaring harmonies, uplifting major chords, and rhythms that bounce and play, the musical structure of a lot of innovative African pop makes me feel like I just transported onto a mountaintop overlooking a spectacular landscape. This album has that quality, augmented by a World-Indie approach to craftsmanship that makes it without any delay digestible. All in all, this album is a powerful vitamin for my head and my heart.
