One Piece
The epic sets sail…
It is the era of adventure, as innumerable souls are lured along the Grand Line in pursuit of dreams far dandier than any they’ve ever dared to imagine. Wealth, fame, power… It’s all available for the taking to the lucky soul that may find it: The legendary One Piece. Among those on the high seas is a youth on a quest to be king of them all – Luffy, the Straw Hat Pirate! But original he must find a ship, a crew and some supplies. Determined to recruit those at initial unwilling to his cause, the young captain remains undaunted…
There are dissimilar types, styles, designs and variants of one-piece bathing suits such as monokinis, string bodies, sling bikinis, and halter-necks. Most of them are modifications of the two-piece Bikini bathing suit that came out in the 1940s. New styles of one-piece bathing suits are still growing in popularity.
Possibly the most mutual form of one-piece bathing suit is the tank suit. The term “tank” evolved from “swimming tank” – the old name for swimming pool. The tank suit has given way to the development of the ever ordinary tank top, and the tankini – a bathing suit consisting of a tank top and the bottom piece of the bikini.
Another general one-piece bathing suit is the sling bikini. It has side straps that extend upwards to cover women’s chests, which then stretch over their shoulders and reach down the back to form a thong. The entire sides of the torso are revealed this way. So the sling bikini becomes a very commodious bathing suit by combining two elements (the top and the bottom pieces) into one.
The monokini was designed by an Austrian named Rudi Gernreich in 1967. It is a one-piece, topless bathing suit for women consisting of only the lower piece of the bikini. Gernreich took the term from “mono”-indicating single or one, and is another variant of the initial two-piece bikini bathing suit. The term may also be applied to refer to other one-piece swimsuits such as a sling bikini.
Other forms of one-piece bathing suits for women include string bodys, halter-necks, maillots, tank suits, plunge fronts and pretzel suits.

Finally! Fans Rejoice!!! By Murder0Ne Previously, One Piece was freed in 13 episode sets for around $35. NOW, Funimation is unleashing these larger, 24 episode sets! Having seen Funimations One Piece dubs previously, these are mainly acted and the quality was great on their last One Piece sets. For the lower price AND a full 24 episodes, THIS is the time to buy One Piece in America!!! I preordered and will update my review upon arrival and completion.

Great Anime Series and Great DVD Release! By Amanda If you like anime with pirates, fighting, fun, and don’t mind observing something long running (it’s already over 500 sequences in Japan), then I would commend this to you! I love this anime and have watched up to episode 508 online so far, but I could not afford the price (based on the price per episode, meaning the price of the set divided by the number of episodes) for the “Voyage” releases (thank you to those who did buy the “Voyage” releases, because without you Funimantion would not proceed freeing this series). That’s why I purchased this release the day it came out and look forward to future “Collection” releases. The picture and sound quality on these DVDs are outstanding (at regarding episode 207 we’ll see even better, because Japan swopped to HD and widescreen for the series – if Funimation decides to compensate for the licenses for more sequences to be freed in the USA that is). I only watched it in Japanese with the English translation subtitles, so I can’t give any input on the dubbing. For those who may be interested, this set is actually just the introductory two “Voyage” releases at a lower price (the main menus of the DVDs even say “First Voyage” and “Second Voyage”), so this release is the initial 26 sequences of the series. I hope that helps any individual thinking of buying this series!!!
