What is the difference between the nickel and silver-plated flutes?

There are few advantages to silver plated more. First, money is a better material than the nickel alloy, so it's best for the flute and the best for you. The Debate continues about exactly how different metals such as silver, gold, nickel, etc. affect the sound, but the fact is that the more expensive equipment used, the better the quality and workmanship to make the instrument, which the flute better overall. (To give you a flute track down materials Economic flute is nickel plated hardware, used only at the bottom rung of student flutes. Then comes the silver flute, which offers better sound for the student level flute.
