4Worth it
By Brian Nash
I got this chanter not expecting much. It has a good sound and the right way manufactured. The reed that came with it was not so good, but getting a substitute is inexpensive. If you want to start out someplace with bagpipes, get started here. It is quiet as it is a exercise chanter.

1Get a quality exercise chaanter
By Theodore Kerrn
If you want to learn to play the pipes you need to buy a quality exercise chanter from a reputable manufacturer. You also need too find a capable instructor. Do yourself a favor and check out any local pipe bands, exceptionally those who are members of competitory associations such. Many such bands offer free instruction. Some instruction is likewise available over the internet by way of Skype. Otherwise, check with one of the numerous online piping distinguishing trait shops with regards to a quality exercise chanter, books, and videos. Local music shops may offer to help by ordering instruments, but are in reality uninformed (ask if they play and for how long). Don’t doom yourself from the beginning with cheap junk and poor or no instruction.

5Not a bad little chanter.
By J. Tyler
I had a friend who played the bagpipes and occasionally played a chanter for the duration of breaks at work so I got fascinated in attempting one out. It seems to be a reasonably good quality instrument. The wood looks nice and the joints use thread rather than cork. Not surprisingly, it has a plastic reed as a wood reed cost more than the chanter. My brother doesn’t like the sound but I think it sounds much like other chanters. The only thing I didn’t like was that the ornate metal “bell” was unnecessarily heavy for me. Overall, I like it.
