Clarinet Carrying Case

A without doubt or question stylish and functional line of carrying bags. Features rugged closure clips, interior sheet music pockets, a backside pocket and a comfortable shoulder strap.

Selmer clarinets are amidst the most frequent brands in the world for school band clarinets. If you see a 13-year-old carrying a clarinet to school, it will in all probability say either Selmer or Bundy (which is percentage of Selmer) on the case. They are solidly built instruments, and have a good, strong reputation, even even though numerous people make unflattering comparings to the higher priced clarinets.

But Selmer clarinets keep going and going for as long as they are taken care of. There are Selmers from the 1960s and 70s that are still going strong. A Selmer clarinet in all likelihood isn’t the clarinet a professional in a symphony orchestra would choose, but it was not made to be that. It was made for students and just when it comes to any student that sticks with clarinet from age 12 or so until he or she graduates high school will likely have put that clarinet through a good deal of severe usage, peculiarly if it was used in a marching band.

College marching band managing directors love Selmers for marching season because they sound good and if they get a little rain on them, they’re not going to hurt. Nobody’s going to take a high-end Buffet clarinet out onto a rainy halftime football field.

And as far as value, these are second to none. You may get a Selmer clarinet today that is in good playing shape for only a couple of hundred dollars. Some humans buy one strictly for marching season and switch to a more progressed model for concert season.

Perhaps the “problem” that a heap of humans have with Selmers is that they are known almost exclusively as student clarinets, and hearing a beginning clarinet player screech their way through “In a Wigwam” may be a painful experience. But in these cases, the instrument isn’t genuinely at fault. It’s just that good technique takes time to develop. It will manufacture rapidly, however, for students that are more than willing to put in the exercise time it takes.

The bag is nice enough, but it’s just that, a bag. I ordered it thinking it was a case for my daughter’s clarinet, only to see that it is a bag for a case. I suppose if I necessitated such a bag, this would fit the bill. However, since it is just a bag, after all, I could effortlessly find one that was of equivalent quality for less than the almost $30 I salaried for this one.
