Oboe reeds and deficiency of Fox?

Is my oboe reed or just me, I did my oboe sound bad?

My old broken reed, because he is too old and worn out (I played very well on grass: [) so I bought a rod and new media (as I have purchased from before, except different brand). The grass looks new and looks good, but when I play with my oboe, it sounds like a sax or a weakness, strangled duck. Any advice and Reed do I buy back in place?

Definitely resist this new cane. It could simply be that is new and just needs time to adapt to it. Definitely do not change your embouchure to get better sound out of it, especially if you play well with his old cane with the nozzle. Maybe just go back to the old brand rather than switch brands!
