I ran into a old Selmer saxophone and was the same logo as the bell Selmer Paris Mark 6 Does this mean that are the same model? "I know nothing of Selmer sax and do not know what model is, except for the logo. Thanks.
The hallmark of the mark VI (only "Mark VI") must be in the ring of the bell at the bottom. Another way to see would be the serial number. 57000-231000 If there is a Mark VI. Models Newer (the reference series) are named, near the logos.

So far I am concerned by the Buffet R13, the R13 prestige, the privilege Selmer Paris and Selmer Paris Recital. Which of these is not better by the brand name?
At the level of instrument is not one that is "better" for everyone. You just try and see which one suits you best. Or try the high end models Leblanc Paris. A large majority of professional players (band) playing the R-13. Many prefer the Selmer Paris saxophone doublers. Pete Fountain (Dixieland jazz) was by Leblanc Paris. Everything is a matter who gets the sound you want to get and it feels like in scope.
