Playing the saxophone may prove difficult at first. Just like any other musical instruments, learning how to play the saxophone requires technique and skill. These achievements and proficiencies notwithstanding may only be acquired through continuous exercise and actual playing of the instrument. As a normally acknowledged fact, not a single soul to a complete degree learns how to use any musical instrument by just merely reading how the instrument is played. Although theoretical noesis may prove to be necessary and beneficial to the student or player of the instrument, it is not notwithstanding sufficient. Learning how to use a saxophone means that the person may “actually” play the instrument. This may only be realized if one actually picks up the saxophone and starts playing it. Henceforth, it is only through continuous exercise that the necessary attainments and proficiencies will be developed. Eventually, the beginner will become adept at playing the instrument. The aforementioned is true disregarding of which type of saxophone is to be used.

However, not all saxophones are the same. The instrument genuinely comes in dissimilar types, shapes, and sizes. The main divergence nevertheless is the music that is developed from each instrument. Baritone Saxophones, other than as supposed or expected recognise as “bari sax” to distinguish them from baritone horns, are in general accounted as the heaviest and greatest amidst the dissimilar saxophone instruments. In fact, players of baritone saxophones put a great deal of harness to support the weight of the instrument. Thus, if the player is not concerned with regards to the size or weight of the instrument, then playing the baritone saxophone must not be much of a problem.

Bass saxophones are also, more often, played in the bass division of soul tunes or music because of the low range of the musical notes it plays. Among the other types of saxophones, baritone saxophones have the lowest range and notes. It therefore becomes a good harmonizer in bands. With this note, this type of saxophone is ordinarily discerned from other types of saxophones through it is distinct rich and deep tone. Thus in a band or orchestra, it provides the deep musical pulse in the group because of the deep tone which is inherent in it.

Ideally though, the use of baritone saxophone is commended only after practicing, for a time, with tenor saxophone or the alto saxophone. But then again, if one intends to play bass, soulful, deep tone, and harmonize it with tunes in the higher range, the use of baritone saxophone may be a good choice. One point to consider even though is that since baritone saxophones are comparatively harder to play and manage equated to, for instance, alto saxophones and tenor instruments, neverending exercise by way of playing the instrument is strongly advised. In this way, the player will get accustomed to the instrument and will in the end become comfortable playing it.

Some other considerations that ought to be taken into account in playing baritone saxophones would be the way to hold the saxophones. This is indispensable giving careful consideration to that the saxophone is heavy and it is played with a harness supporting it. The position or way of keeping the instrument ensures that the instrument will not construct a bad tone as a consequence of keeping it incorrectly.

5Great Design!
By J. T. Jenkins
I’ve been watching this case ever since SKB declared it was going to be available. I have a habit built road case for my baritone sax that has served me well and protected my case on the road and from airport “gorillas”. But difficulties with a hernia prompted my search for a lighter case that could do the job. A teacher friend of mine got one for his school and I was very impressed. The handles are well placed to remainder the case. It is capable to hold a bari sax with or without the low A configuration. There is plenteous room to put supplies. The weight of the case with my Yamaha bari is in regards to the same as my old case empty! My old bones are liking this new case.

2Good case, didn’t fit.
By K. Huntington
I purchased this case hoping to be capable to take my cannonball bari sax on a plane. This would have been a great case except for the little fact that my sax did not fit into the case. So much for universal bari sax case.
