Like an moron I left my horn leaning someplace and my old, old Selmer mouthpiece got chipped. No use thinking too hard when it comes to it, the only thing to do was to get another. The C* is the classic warm horn mouthpiece for the soprano. Not “duck-like” if you know what I mean. And it’s regarding as easy on the mouth as these punishing little beasts get. (In my heyday I gigged an Otto Link Metal 8*, which still digs in, but plays mayhem with my oral health.)

No matter what style you’re aiming for, this is either the only piece you need, or at least one of two you keep in the case.
