More Americans trace their ancestry to Germany than to any other country. Arguably, German Americans form America’s biggest ethnic group. So much so that people don’t want to spend cash on any new appliances or instrumentation even when their widgets stop working or fabricate problems. They would rather get them repaired. Nowadays, new models of household widgets are replacing the older ones almost each day.
