Beware – Paint Peeling Already

We purchased this flute for our daughter as a gift and altho the sound was prettier than her former flute, the paint has begun to peel off. We were shocked to see a pea sized section without paint after a matter of a few months! When I looked conservatively at it, I noticed a lump of “paint” at the edge of the “chipped area”. When I ran my thumbnail throughout is, it STRETCHED and pulled off as if it was numerous sort of rubberized/latex type paint rather than true, hard lacquer! I attempted to stop it with a corresponding blue nail polish but as soon as I applied it, the edges of the latex paint bubbled up to a prominent ridge. HORRIBLE!

This is NOT a quality lacquered instrument. I could effortlessly peel all the stretchy paint off of it in a matter of minutes. No instrument must ever be sold with this poor quality, latex style paint! Very very disappointed. Would not buy this brand again!

Not dissapointed. Could have been better.

The flute itself is nice and not one thing broke so far. What I have a problem is the case. When we firstborn got the flute, the inside of the case had this white substance in it. We had to clean the flute immediatley.
