Great deal on a fun, good-quality recorder

I’ve had one of these for more than a year now, and I take it with me wherever I go. There’s not one thing like an inexpensive plastic recorder for practicing wherever you occur to be. I keep it in my napsack and pull it out whenever I’m at a bus stop or I have to wait for any reason.

This recorder is the best sub-$10 recorder available. It’s well-tuned (make sure you keep the head joint pulled out a couple millimeters for the best tuning), has a pleasant sound, and looks fantastic. I’ve gotten a large total of remarks on mine. The transparent pink plastic is always a speech starter. And at such a low price as they’re being offered here, how may you lose?

This is the recorder I always commend to parents who want to get one for their young children. It’s dishwasher safe (!) so if it gets gunked up with feed or other crud, just pop it in the dishwasher and it’s good as new. Ideally you ought to re-grease the joints with Yamaha recorder grease before reassembling if you do that, though. The only problem I have this this model of recorder is that it doesn’t come with a thing of grease like the more costly Yamahas.

One warning: some other makers make transparent recorders. Don’t be fooled! The Yamaha ones are the best available by far.

Easy

I got 2 of these for my daughters, as instruments go it is inexpensive and since I wasn’t sure how mesmerized they were in learning music thought this would be a good place to begin, and I was right. I already know how to read music so I picked up the fundamental principle beauteous speedily and then was capable to instruct my daughter the fingering. My youngest quickly lost interest once she found out I wanted her to read the music. My oldest nonetheless played for a talent show, which made her genuinely happy. It is good quality as far as an inexpensive models go, I like how it comes isolated for easy cleaning, it’s portable- my daughter even brought it with her on a girlscout during one night for a little campfire fun. It has been a genuinely good introductory instrument.

A in truth cute and very playable recorder

This is perfective if you want a soprano recorder that’s distinguishable and cute without spending much money. I think it makes a good starter recorder to learn on and to see if you’re more than willing to put more cash towards the hobby. But it’s very playable – much *much* better than ones you’d find at Dollar General and similar stores ! It’s also much prettier in person than I expected it to be. (see my client pics !) I only (really really) wish that it included some kind of cleaning instrument. Because the recorder is see-through you may REALLY see how your spit builds up – and it does.. fast ! The chart that’s included is very handy. All in all – I’m very pleased.
